The first duty of Humah and Ura is the ihram (the entry into purity and ritual consecration). The Muslim must know the place and the time for the ihram. You must also know the things to do before entering ihram state, its meaning and prayers that should be recited before and after the ihram. Finally, one must know what is forbidden to do during the ihram state.

1. Places to enter ihram state.
The Prophet
Has
set the following locations for the ihram. Anyone who intends to do Hajj or
Umrah must not go beyond those places without entering ihram.
A) Dhul Halifah (current name: Abyar Ali): for residents in Medina and anyone coming from that direction, land or air.
B) Al-Juhfah, a place on the coast near Rabigh (today the faithful enter Iraq in Rabigh, just before Al-Juhfah) for residents in Morocco, Syria, Egypt and anyone traveling from those directions by air, Terrestrial or maritime.
C) Yalamlan (current name: Al-Sadiyah) for residents in Yemen and anyone coming from that direction.
D) Qarn Al-Manazel (current name: Al-Sayl) for residents of the Saudi region of Najd and whoever arrives from that direction by land or air.
E) That 'Erk, for Iraqi residents and anyone coming from that land or air way.
F) Those who live closer to Mecca than the above-mentioned places must go to ihram state in their place of residence. Those living in Mecca must go far beyond one of the predetermined places to enter ihram, if they want to do the Umrah. Conversely, they can enter ihram in their home in Mecca if they want to do Hajj.
Whoever makes the decision to perform Hajj or Umrah after passing the location where he would have to enter ihram, can do so in the same location as he made his decision. But he cannot go to Mecca before he is in ihram state.
Those who do not exactly match the above-mentioned locations can enter ihram in parallel locations located at the same distance from Mecca. Those who travel on Arabian planes are warned by the crew about the time to enter ihram).

2) The moment to enter ihram
state.
You can enter ihram state in the months indicated by Allah in the Holy Qur'an. The meaning of what He said can be translated as follows (from the English text of Abdullah Yusuf Ali): "Months for Hajj are well known" (2: 197). They are the months of Shawal, Dhul Qu'dah, and Dhul Hijjah. According to the majority of the essays, it is not possible to enter ihram for Hajj before the beginning of the month of Shawal.
Those who want to do the Umrah can enter ihram at any time of the year.

Before entering ihram, you must do the following, so be ready.
to. Cut your nails, shorten your mustache, shave the armpits and the pubic area. If these operations have been performed recently you may not repeat them.
b. Wash the body completely, removing any traces of dirt and sweat. If it is absolutely impossible to get a full bath it is allowed to omit it.
c. Men must take off any sewing clothes, or dresses that are tight or adherent to any part of the body (e.g. shirts and socks) and cover with two wraps to wrap around the body. You can wear, without socks, any type of sandals (even if they have seams) or shoes that do not cover the ankles. It is desirable for the two sheets to be white and clean (just washed or new).
Women have to take away all that is done to cover their face, but keep their hair covered and hidden with a non-transparent veil. According to what the Prophet has handed down
When they come into ihram state, they can wear any wear they wear wearing, except for garments and ornaments designed to make them attractive. Some believe that women should wear green-colored dresses. Such opinion is without basic. There are no prescribed colors.
d. After the bath, the body should be perfumed if possible. You should not smell, however, ihram clothing. Women should use the perfume in moderation to avoid attracting attention to them.
